Miriam believes that stories make up the world, and when we communicate online, we open new windows where people can learn. This led her to found Tiny Windows, a nonprofit strategy and communications consultancy that strives to build connections and a kinder world through stories. Tiny Windows clients have included the Jewish Federations of North America, the Union for Reform Judaism, the Foundation for Jewish Camp (Midwest), Spertus Institute and more -- in just its first year.

Miriam loves learning as much as she loves digital communication, so she serves on both the education and marketing committees at Skokie's Kol Sasson Congregation. She also takes opportunities to teach others by leading nonprofit technology trainings, storytelling seminars and more.

More artistically, Miriam hosts the Jewish demonology podcast "Throwing Sheyd" with her husband and frequent collaborator Alan Jay Sufrin; for many years the duo also performed as the "Biblegum Pop" music group Stereo Sinai.

I'm the Principal of Tiny Windows Consulting, a nonprofit strategy and communications consultancy out to make the world a kinder, braver, more curious place through bigger questions and smaller stories. Basically, I work with organizations to plan their communications strategy, hone their stories, and develop content.

Co-host of Throwing Sheyd, a podcast about "better living through Jewish demonology" along with my husband, Alan Jay Sufrin.

HOW YOU JEW IN CHICAGO:
I love to learn, so I'm at SketchPad lunch and learns a lot, and Spertus workshops. I gorge myself on hummus with mushrooms at Taboun. I love when Jewish and Israeli artists and musicians come to town. I celebrate Shabbat and holidays around the tables of family and friends who are like family.
