Marc Sender's colleagues describe him as "the exact definition of the Hebrew word  dugma ," meaning "example."

Marc loves being able to give back to the Jewish organizations that gave him so much as a kid. For over a decade, he has taught in three synagogues throughout the northern suburbs and recently became the Regional Teen Engagement Director for the CHUSY and CRUSY regions of United Synagogue Youth. His chapter, Beth Judea USY in Long Grove, recently won International Chapter of the Year. On top of that, he teaches Hebrew school at Beth Judea as well as Am Yisrael in Northfield.

The ultimate sign of Marc's impact as a Jewish youth advisor: Many of his teens have gone on to become leaders in Hillel and Jewish professionals, citing Marc's passion as the spark for their own involvement.

A JEW WHO INSPIRES YOU:
My grandfather and my father. While this may seem corny, they both provided me with the strong dedication to my family, my work, and my Jewish community that guides how I live my life today. I am proud to be able to raise my own children with the love for Judaism and the dedication to family that I was lucky enough to be raised with.
