Eating, sleeping, and breathing Jewishly -- Rabbi Amanda Greene is loud and proud about her Judaism, and makes others who are around her feel the same way. As the Assistant Rabbi and Director of Lifelong Learning at Chicago Sinai Congregation, Amanda spends her time determining how to make Judaism relevant in the 21st century in ways that appeal to individuals at all stages of life.

One age group that Amanda has helped Sinai engage more effectively is her fellow young adults. She created LINK Sinai to build community connections for 20- and 30-somethings through Shabbat dinners, trivia nights and "Torah on tap" events.

Amanda also takes on clergy leadership roles locally and nationally. She serves on the faculty committee for Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute and on the committee that organizes the annual convention of the Central Conference of American Reform Rabbis.

In 2010, I led Passover Seders all over the Former Soviet Union, including a Passover Seder in Siberia.

Exciting, Strong, Inspiring. We, millennials, are the future -- we have innovative, creative, and important ideas to enhance the Jewish community. Hopefully we will continue on our path of creating welcoming communities, removing the word “member” from our vocabulary, recognizing that there are many different ways to be Jewish.
