New Jew in town? Tell us your story

Whether you're a kid or a young adult -- moving is hard. Joining a new community can be difficult, but it can also be downright liberating. That's why Oy!Chicago is looking for guest writers of all writing experience levels to contribute to our next special blog series, "New-ish and Jewish in Chicago," a collection of first-person blog posts about moving, adjusting and finding community in the Windy City.

Whether you literally just got here, moved here a number of years ago at a critical moment in your life, came back after a brief or long absence, or at any point felt like you were rediscovering the city, we want to help you tell your story.

To pitch your idea, write a paragraph describing what your piece would be about and send it to info@oychicago.com  by Tuesday, Aug. 9.

The only requirements are that the post should in some way relate to the theme, and that you are 21 or older. We will review your submission and let you know if we are interested in working with you and running your piece in the series, which will run Aug. 22-26.

Please note that Oy!Chicago is unable to offer compensation for our blog series submissions.

Thanks for your interest!
