Jacob Mosbacher is a renaissance man. He's a painter and a sculptor, selling some of his artwork at the Greater Chicago Jewish Festival -- and he produces his own Jewish music videos, too. Plus, he is a four-time undefeated high school wrestling champion.
Jacob, who has Down syndrome and lives in a
Libenu house,
a Jewish group home for young adults with special needs, is passionate about the Jewish community. He attends weekly Shabbat services in his hometown neighborhood of West Rogers Park, and he has volunteered at The ARK every Monday for the last decade!
A lover of all things Elvis, Jacob's just got that spark, a gift for inspiring people. As Jacob's brother tells it, people just "light up" when they spend time with him. Jacob has the following words of wisdom for others: "Dream big -- and never give up!"
