Although she grew up in Kansas City and attended college in Southern California, Katie Berger has held nothing back from Chicago's Jewish community. While establishing a successful career in Chicago's media industry as a senior producer for Harpo Studios and later the Oprah Winfrey Network, Katie joined the board of JUF's Young Leadership Division, serving as Campaign Chair in 2017.
Katie, who recently concluded her term on the YLD Board, inspired her fellow board members in the way she gave of her time and resources.They say she knows how to display flexibility while working with others and is open to innovative ideas. As Campaign Chair, her positive attitude toward the work was infectious.
Most recently, Katie joined the Wexner Heritage Program and the Jewish Women's Foundation and continues to search for more ways to give Jewishly.

Not being from here originally, I am constantly in awe of the strength (and size) of Chicago’s Jewish community. I can only hope it gets stronger as time goes on.
