Jonathan Eisen
Jonathan Eisen loves a good meal, but more importantly, bringing people together to share in one. Through his work at OneTable , an organization dedicated to bringing young Jews together for Shabbat dinner through meal subsidies, he seamlessly combines his passion for good food and good friends, helping to build a more dynamic Jewish Chicago one Friday night dinner at a time. In just a year, he's helped OneTable grow from a handful of dinners a week to more than 70.
When he's not schmoozing over wine and good food, Jonathan is a star softball player for JUF's summer league, a member of the Gesher Chicago Leadership class of 2016, and a planning committee member of JCC Chicago's Shabbat on the Lake program. He's also a proud Birthright Israel Fellow, and the founder of @JewishEater on Instagram.

How do you give back?
There are a few organizations that I'm connected to where I can give back and I love supporting friends who are involved with their causes especially through marathons and other active fundraisers. I also enjoy being a resource to help others find new connections, new opportunities for work, and feel a sense of belonging – both in the Chicago Jewish community and beyond.
Describe yourself in 10 words or less:
Hungry for a good meal and new connections.
Something most people don’t know about me:
Inspired by all the dinners I've been to through OneTable, I built my own table and bench – and yet I still struggle to hang a frame.
