Anna Gorbikoff
Anna Gorbikoff's fluency in four languages -- Russian, Hebrew, English and Spanish -- offers just one example of the unique, international perspective she brings as an educator in the Chicago Jewish community. Anna was born in Ukraine, then moved at age 9 with her family to Israel. After graduating from the Air Force Technical Academy in Beer Sheva, she moved to Chicago and earned a degree in Secondary Education.
Anna has designed curricula for different religious school programs, helped rebuild the Hebrew program at Stevenson High School and taught at Deerfield High School, prepared students for their bar/bat mitzvah and is currently working toward her Master's in Jewish Professional Studies from the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership. An active leader on JUF's Russian Jewish Division Advisory Board, Anna reviews grant proposals, organizes community projects and more.

How do you Jew in Chicago?
I Jew everywhere and all the time, both in my personal and professional life, making my passion for Israel and Israel education my career where I can pass it on to the younger generation of our community.
If time and money were limitless, I would:
Spend more time with my family, and help children who are victims of terror in Israel and in Ukraine.
