Oren Jacobson

Oren Jacobson is deeply invested in his work, in helping others and in his passions. From his own tech startups to pro-bono consulting for startups and emerging entrepreneurs to political issues (he recently considered running for office), Oren puts his full energy into all of it.

Oren is the COO of a technology services and branding firm developing a platform to help brands control their branding and customer experience while protecting their digital intellectual property in a single location. If that's too confusing, they also launched a private jet booking service similar to on-demand driver services like Uber and Lyft.

Oren also volunteers to advise organizations including one offering alternative PTSD therapies for veterans, serves on the advisory board of a medical tech startup working to revolutionize how we educate children on health and wellness and cares about developing emerging leaders and tackling issues such as voter education and improving schools through his work with the New Leaders Council.

How do you give back?

In all I do I keep the idea of “Invest in Others” in mind. As such, the things that I spend time on are all built around the idea of investing in others. I identify organizations with a strong social mission and leadership and contribute both time and money into helping them achieve those goals. I look for organizations who promote equality and opportunity that my personal skill set can be a benefit to beyond simply making contributions. Additionally, I mentor several young people in formal (organizationally aligned) or informal ways (personal connections).

How do you Jew in Chicago?

If you want to know how I “Jew” in Chicago I do it through my mother’s brisket. Nothing says family, faith, and culture like the moments our family gathers together and, if I have my choice in that gathering, mommy is making brisket!
