Tony Shir

Tony Shir is experienced in financial planning and negotiating the acquisition of assets, but as good as he is at making sure money comes in for investors, he's even better at getting money out to the community, along with his time and expertise.

Tony's philanthropic efforts have had an impact at the local, state, national and international level. He supports his synagogue as well as Jewish day schools through fundraising and volunteering, was active in Russian Hillel (now JUF's Russian Jewish Division), sat on the Hillels of Illinois Governing Commission and the board of HIAS, and currently does work with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, helping Jews all over the world who experience challenges like he did growing up in Ukraine.

Tony also mentors young Jewish professionals in the financial world and has taught finance as part of a yeshiva curriculum.
